Fast and lightweight, the fitness bike Merida SPEEDER shares its genes with road bikes. The geometry with its long head tube delivers a more upright and comfortable riding position. The comfort inspired geometry paired with control enhancing flat handlebars, and powerful disc brakes makes the SPEEDER ideal for fast commuting or fitness rides.

SPEEDERs share their genetic make-up with our former RIDE comfort geometry. The combination of a long head tube and shorter top tube provides a more relaxed seating position. CARBON FORKS
The SPEEDER is equipped with a full carbon tapered fork. Carbon has great vibration absorbing properties in addition to being lightweight, so ride quality is improved. The carbon tapered steerer provides great stiffness to the front end of the bike, delivering precise confidence inspiring handling. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Cables are routed through the frame to keep the look of the bike neat and uncluttered. This also protects the cables from moisture and dirt. SOPHISTICATED FRAME
We use 6066 series aluminium, the highest level generally used in bike production, its metallic composition allows it to be extensively hydroformed (a process of forcing a hot emulsion of water and oil through tubes in a negative mould). This allows us to vary wall thicknesses and tune the frame to be both strong where it needed and flexible where required.
