The Hyde Race Lady frame is the solution to the very specific demands of urban riding – for internal gear hub.
Urban speed machine: Cube Hyde Race Lady Frame in black?n?flashgreen for Internal Gear Hub We made the Hyde’s frame with torsional rigidity in mind, using double butted tubes and our advanced mechanical forming process. Our engineers even found time to add a bunch of unique features. For example, the frame can be opened via the innovative Split & Side Dropout when the drive belt has to be changed. Belt tension can also be adjusted easily, and locked with two screws. We’ve concealed cables in the down tube, allowing the classically elegant tube shapes to be shown at their best and reducing maintenance at the same time. We’ve also looked at the best way to attach mudguards, a luggage rack, kickstand and a frame lock.

6061 aluminium alloy requires a heat treatment for the finished product. It is a stiff, very corrosion resistant, fatigue resistant,high-elongation material suitable for light tubesets with high stiffness.
Wet Paint Surface
On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
Advanced Mechanical Forming
With our Advanced Mechanical Forming technology we can mechanically transform different frame tubes and thus optimize them without material-wearing welding work for the respective requirements. Along the obtained organic look, the production method is primarily motivated by functional reasons. Multiple converted tubes enable us to manufacture lighter and also stiffer aluminum frames.
Split&Slide Dropout
The SPLIT function allows the frame to open at the rear dropout to enable a drive belt to be mounted. The SLIDE function at the horizontal adjustable dropout allows wheel adjustment and chain/belt tension to be made easily without having to readjust the disc brakes. Adjustment screws avoid readjusting the wheel and ensure perfect function and durability.
Smooth Welding
This elaborate procedure with doubled weld seams has two advantages: On the one hand, it improves the firmness of the weld seams and minimizes the load peaks on the tube welds through energy flow and on the other hand, it helps the frame to a better and more organic look due to the smooth and hardly noticeable welds.
