Running sensor
? Accessories
Pair your watch with the Garmin running sensor to obtain distance data when you train on a treadmill in the building, for example, or the GPS is not available to determine the cadence (steps per minute) for each activity. The running sensor also provides distance and cadence data when used with the FR70 series.
Tiny: The Running Sensor from Garmin This tiny running sensor is so small that it can be attached to the shoelaces or in the midsole of compatible shoes. It is always ready for operation and is powered by a small, replaceable battery for one year.
Unlike simple pedometers, this foot pod uses advanced MEMS inertial sensor technology to analyze motion. It also reacts to changes in stride length. Thus, speed and distance can be measured with an accuracy of 98%.
