The ROTOR KAPIC is perfectly suited for XC and marathon bikers who want a light crank system without complications, with low maintenance and assembly costs and the possibility to improve step efficiency. The KAPIC is of course compatible with other mountain bike groups from Shimano or SRAM and offers a future-proof technology thanks to Direct Mount.
Direct conversion of power into propulsion: the KAPIC MTB 1x Direct Mount Crankarms from ROTOR The ROTOR KAPIC crank system for XC and Marathon mountain bikes was developed together with the two Gravity cranks ROTOR RHAWK and RRAPTOR and shares the innovative and modular design with them. The KAPIC is currently the lightest and stiffest crank system available in standard and boost versions for ROTOR mountain bikes and, thanks to Direct Mount technology, offers the best possible direct conversion of power into propulsion. Already in the launch season 2018, numerous professional riders switched to the KAPIC and were able to achieve their first victories and podium positions.

Without specialist knowledge or special tools, assembly is done in minutes and changing the chainring is just as easy. Thanks to the Direct Mount system, where the blades are mounted directly on the shaft without a spider, a standard Allen key is sufficient as a tool. Numerous blades in round design or with the oval Q rings from ROTOR offer choice for the ride in any terrain. The Direct Mount System of the ROTOR KAPIC enables the fine adjustment of oval chainrings (OCP) in one-degree steps and thus an incomparable individualisation to the personal requirements. This gives the driver the best possible approach to optimum step efficiency. The crank arms of the KAPIC are made of the particularly stiff 7055 aluminium alloy and are machined with the ROTOR patented Trinity Drilling System and offer an ideal ratio of stiffness to weight. ROTOR?s CNC-machined cranks feature our Trinity Drilling System, which is a process that drills three full-depth holes along the axis of the crank. This allows us to remove excess material from the crank arm resulting in a lighter crank without compromising its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio.

Alu CNC
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining provides a precise and consistent manufacturing process. This is especially important when it comes to crafting bike components in order to ensure flawless funcionality with respect to all the parts working together. Equipped with the latest CNC resources, ROTOR parts are precisely machined to within a hundredth of a millimeter.

OCP
Optimum Chainring Position (OCP) represents the different setup positions that ROTOR Q rings offer to fit a rider?s distinct pedaling style. Q rings feature up to 5 OCP?s, with OCP 3 as an intermediate starting point, all to optimize your pedaling style. You can determine your OCP if you know your Optimum Chainring Angle (OCA), which can be found by conducting a TORQUE 360 pedal analysis via ROTOR?s 2INpower and INpower User Software.
