We’ve taken our popular carbon-framed Bosch e-bike and given it a makeover for 2019, equipping it with a blend of reliable components that will help any rider extract the best from it, wherever the trail takes you.
The concealed battery, internal cable routing – including routing for a dropper post upgrade – and stealth appearance are just part of the story. Shimano’s 11 speed XT gears, combined with the powerful Bosch CX drive unit, give you the range you need to tackle any gradient, while hydraulic disc brakes – with a 4 piston caliper at the front – are there to help keep your speed under control on the way back down. Grippy Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres and Newmen cockpit components ensure you’re always in control, and a RockShox Judy Gold air fork smooths out the trail ahead. Carbon e-mountain biking has never looked so attractive. FRAME Cube Elite Hybrid C:62 Race 500 29 blue?n?orange Bosch’s PowerTube battery gave our design team a great opportunity: by using their experience in carbon frame construction, they were able to incorporate it into a seamless down tube that fully encloses the power source under an easily removable, sealed cover. The result is a great-looking chassis and a very rigid backbone for super-precise handling out on the trail. There’s even room for up to two water bottle mounts, and there’s no need to remove the battery for charging. Our Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing is used throughout to give the optimum blend of strength, weight and stiffness. Combined with Agile Ride Geometry, the 12mm Boost thru-axle and a tapered head tube, you’re assured of responsive and confidence-inspiring trail manners. Internal cable routing ensures that gear shifts remain clean and precise, and we even including routing for a quick and easy dropper post upgrade. TECHNOLOGY Bosch Performance Line CX – live the trail With a maximum torque of 75 Nm, the Performance Line CX is the ideal drive for ambitious and demanding eBikers. In eMTB mode, you always receive the required power ? from Tour to Turbo. Up to 300% of perfectly delivered support, incredible dynamism and unique grip provide the best possible support on all terrains, as well as improved start-up behaviour. The progressive motor support automatically adapts to the individual’s riding style, so there is no need to change support modes in eMTB mode. FEATURES Bosch Drive Unit Performance The difference is the technology behind the new modern anthracite-coloured design of the components. The improved drive system with more powerful electronics and a low-vibration motor as well as low volume and weight, convinces the rider. The optimised 3-sensor concept take measurement 1,000 times per second with maximum precision for optimal power tuning and a new, unique riding experience. A maximum torque of up to 75 Nm strenghtens the motor and the rider’s personal contribution between 120% and 300%. Depending on the pedal pressure the progressive motor support adjusts automatically to the individual’s riding characteristics. Without shifting gears the engine supports even slight pedal revolutions constantly with ideal performance. The ride on steep slopes is almost effortless. You get all important information conveniently at the touch of a button during the ride, with both hands remaining on the handle bar. There are two options for installing the battery, positioning it either vertically or horizontally. Minimalist design opens up new possibilities for integration into the frame for bike manufacturers. The battery is concealed and perfectly protected by the frame. A convenient function means that the battery pops approx. 2 cm out of the frame when unlocked, making it easier to handle.
