The Focus Sam is the enduro mountain bike for demanding MTB athletes. Thanks to its lightweight carbon frame, it climbs easily uphill and with 170 mm suspension travel and 27.5″ wheels, it masters all challenges downhill uncompromisingly and playfully. In Enduro racing, the FOCUS Trail Team relies entirely on the FOCUS SAM. Successful – as the numerous titles show.
The new FOCUS SAM now sees the last member of our full-suspension family fitted with our patented F.O.L.D. kinematics. F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimized Linkage Design. Optimised specially for the very high demands of the Enduro, the F.O.L.D. chassis on the FOCUS SAM ensures a perfectly balanced combination: F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive while being progressive enough to prevent a harsh bottom out. Our new FOCUS SAM is just at home in the bike park as in tough Enduro races. This is because the FOCUS SAM geometry is now specifically tailored to the requirements of the modern Enduro: a longer wheelbase and a flatter stem angle have made the FOCUS SAM king of descents. In addition, we have extended suspension travel by 10 mm ? so that the new FOCUS SAM is now running 170 mm of travel both front and rear. Features – SAM 9.9 Light, robust & low-maintenance

FOCUS Optimized Linkage Design | F.O.L.D. F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimized Linkage Design and offers the ultimate rear suspension. The patented F.O.L.D. kinematics makes it possible to optimize the rear suspension for the most varied requirements: F.O.L.D. responds extremely sensitively, but still offers enough progressiveness to prevent the shock from touching the bottom. To ensure that all bike sizes offer the same riding characteristics, all frame heights are individually constructed and have a specially developed carbon lay-up. This Stable Stiffness Per Size (SSPS) production ensures that all sizes offer the optimum weight to stiffness ratio. Internal Cable Routing
